A Sound Meditation is a deeply immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to NURTURE YOUR MIND AND BODY.
About Sabine Feuilloley:
Before becoming a sound meditation artist, I worked in the fashion industry for many years.
In 2009, attending a Vipassana retreat taught by S.N. Goenka opened my eyes to the importance of meditation. The practice helped me manage the stress and anxiety of work and life in NYC. Slowly, my interest in fashion waned.
A few years later, I chanced upon Sound Meditation through an introductory course with gong master Don Coreaux.
Experiencing the power of the instrument’s vibrations was a revelation!
I understood how sound is heard through every cell in the body, and can gently help release physical and emotional tensions. It opened new doors to explore and deepen the contemplation practice that had resonated powerfully at a soul level.
In 2020, I decided to dive more into the practice taking the sound practitioner course at the WOOM Center with ethnomusicologist Alexandre Tannous and David Shemesh. It allowed me to develop a unique sound inspired by the qualities of stillness, spaciousness, and luminosity.
Since then, I have facilitated sessions for groups, supported healthcare workers in medical settings, collaborated with yoga and reiki instructors, and offered private sessions.
I love the versatility and infinite combinations this type of meditation allows.
Seeing the well-being it brings to participants always rejoices me!
“In the practice of our days, to listen is to lean in softly, with a willingness to be changed by what we hear.”
